It's Christmas Time

PS: So this is how my tree looks like this year: a mixture of  bright pink and a darker shade of pink. I am happy with the result! Other than that nothing new for me, I had dinner with my family but I am a bit sad that my boyfriend couldn't be here with us. At least not for long...

My latest buys

Hi guys, I'm back with another post, as soon as I could since I'm trying to post more often. :) This time I'm going to show you what I bought recently, so here's the list:

1. a loose t-shirt from New Yorker (one of my all time favorite stores) with a really cool and artistic wolf on it.  I know it's winter and I should be looking for sweaters, not t-shirts, but when I saw this one, I couldn't help myself

2. Stradivarius Bracelet - I just love wearing many bracelets/charms so I had to have this one

3. Mulensa nail polishes because I'm addicted to nail polishes lately and I try to change the color every 2 days:

4. Avon "Colortrend" Glitter Nail Polish - because I love glitter 

5. "Rainbow" Glitter Set - useful for various purposes, not only for nails :)

6. Avon "Skin So Soft" shimmering body oil spray. I love this because it makes my skin extremely soft and it gives it an elegant shimmer. I use it mostly when I go out. :)

7. Avon "Luxe" Couture Creme Lip Gloss in "Proper Pink". Its texture is more consistent than of a normal lip glos and that makes it 

Nail polish: Like stars in the sky

My latest addiction is...guess what? Nail polishes!!! Yes I am completely addicted to nail polishes, especially the glittery ones which in my opinion, are perfect for the holiday season because Christmas and New Year's Eve are all about glam. So since I recently got this gorgeous golden glitter nail polish from my trip to Spain, I decided to combine it with a darker one so that the contrast would be more visible and this is how it turned out:

Holiday in Spain: Part 2

So let me tell you what else I have been doing on my 2nd trip to Spain. One day we went on the Costa Brava to visit a few resorts and simply relax. At first we went to Blanes, a gorgeous resort, where we had the pleasant surprise of seeing a huuuge flea market right on the shore and yes, I mean that because it was situated on the beach, just a few meters away from the sea. It was a wonderful day, quite warm for this time of the year, so we took time to do some shopping and then we walked on the beach. At the end of our visit we went on top of a cliff where we had a lovely picnic. The view from up there was simply breathtaking and that's why I really want to go back there again! :)

After we left Blanes we went to Lloret de Mar, another gorgeous resort, but this time more luxurious and more famous. Unfortunately we got caught up with shopping and the sun was already setting when we decided to go for a walk on the beach. Sadly it was too dark to take pics but I still hope I'll have another chance to visit  that place and take some great shots. :) 

All in all it was an AMAZING day and I confess that the sights I've seen will be stuck in my mind for ever.

Holiday in Spain: Part 1

Tocmai am venit din concediu, 2 saptamani superbe petrecute in Spania alaturi de iubitul meu. Cum ziua mea   a fost pe 1 Noiembrie, nu a fost o zi speciala doar pentru mine deoarece am sarbatorit si 1 an si jumatate de cand suntem impreuna. Poate pentru unii nu inseamna mult dar pentru mine reprezinta ceva frumos, ceva special. Am avut un concediu minunat, cu multe plimbari, sesiuni de shopping prin imensele magazinele El Corte Ingles (si altele bineinteles) si multa relaxare. Din pacate acum trebuie sa revin cu picioarele pe pamant si sa ma ocup de treburile mele zilnice. Voi ce ati mai facut?

I just got back from my holiday, 2 wonderful weeks spent with my boyfriend in Spain. Since my birthday was on November 1st, it was a double celebration for us because we also celebrated 1 and a half year since we are together. It may not mean much to others but it sure is something special to me. I had a wonderful holiday: we went for walks, sightseeing, did a few shopping sessions at El Corte Ingles (and other shops, of course) but I also had time to relax. Unfortunately now I have to come down from Planet Holiday and get  my feet back on the ground because I have to get back to my duties. So what have you guys been up to lately?

My Birthday Wishlist 2012

Exactly one month from today (November 1st) will be my 23rd anniversary so I think it's about time I post a list of things I wish for, so that I don't lose track of everything I like. So here we go:

This palette is SO SO pretty! It has exactly the colors I would use, because I don't use bright colors anymore. It's just perfect! I'm in love with these pastel eyeshadows! :)

3. Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter in: Tutti Frutti, Peach Parfait, Lollipop, Berry Smoothie, Sweet Tart. 

Gosh these lipsticks are awesome. :) They are so creamy and the colors are really pretty.

4. Silver Necklace

It's been a while since I've been looking for a cute thin silver necklace since I lost my old one. The only problem is that I don't want a neck-line-length one because that would be too short. I have quite a lot of pendants I can't wait to wear with it. :)

Challenges

Talking about challenges...I think that all of us should do things that we believe are challenging. Why should we always stay in our comfort zone and live in a warm and fuzzy world. I think that's plain boring. I'm not saying you should push yourself too far because some things you wish too accomplish might be too much for you at times. You can start with small challenges and then as you grow up and you accomplish them one by one, you can 'upgrade' yourself and go even further. I learned on my own that wishing for something is not going to help me in any way. Just wishing is not enough, you have to go for it. Give it a try and it might work. It might not go well from the beginning but it doesn't mean you can't accomplish that thing. That's the challenging part. That's when you see how ambitious you are, that's when you see if you accept your failure or you want to be a winner. Challenges make you stronger, they raise your self-esteem and they make you happier. 

In my situation I can tell you that I started with the idea that I don't ever want to be tutored outside the classes, unlike the other kids. So while their parents were spending a lot of money for those tutoring classes, I was studying by myself. That's how I got into the high school I wanted to. Then it's just another episode of history repeating because when I finished highs cool I refused to get tutored (I wanted to invest the money for tutoring in something else) so I've been studying by myself for the final exams. Again, I got into the University I wanted to. But the thing is that I never chose to go to an 'easy' school. I always wanted a challenge so I chose schools where I knew that teachers are good and expectations are high. Only if I know that I have to work hard to achieve something I feel accomplished. Things that are too easy to get don't catch my interest. In most of the situations I don't take the easy way out.

So why not challenge yourself a little? Learn how to swim, climb a mountain, travel to certain places, read more books, learn how to use Photoshop, learn how to mix music, take part in contests, become a member of an organization etc. If you have a hobby (sing, dance, perform all kinds of stuff, do sports etc), then maybe you should give it a try. You might be so good at it, even if you've never thought about it. Or you could do something out of the ordinary like bungee-jumping, flying, rafting or any other crazy thing. Feel the adrenaline rush. It might be the best thing you've ever done.

A few days ago I went on an evening walk with my sister, in a nearby district full of beautiful houses (since I obviously got tired of living in an apartment :)) ). I love walking through that area!! That place is so peaceful and since it is situated at the end of the town and near the forest, the air feels so fresh. So we decided to take

the camera with us and shoot a few pictures of my outfit and see if they turn out ok for my new category called "Summer Outfit".

May Wishlist and Personal Update

Hi guys, how are you? I wasn't doing so well lately since I got sick and I had to stay home and yeah...I couldn't go to work or go out and see my friends for quite a while. Basically I stood in bed, being really bored, sometimes reading and sometimes watching TV series: One Tree Hill (season 9), The Secret Circle, Skins (US) and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. I can't wait to get back to work and my other activities. The good part is that I didn't miss much since all this period that I had to stay home, the weather was really bad, it was cold, rainy and windy. Right now I'm feeling much better, in fact, I'm feeling pretty great.
So since I had a lot of time in my hands I couldn't help but discover a lot of pretty stuff while surfing the internet, such as bags, clothes, make-up, accessories and so on, and that's why I decided to make a wishlist (so maybe I don't lose track of what I want). ;) So here we go:
